Hungry Hog BBQ is an Essex based hog roast company. Our team of trained chefs provide the finest and freshest hog roasts available for your function or event. We cater for corporate hospitality, weddings and private functions to clients across Essex and the South East.
Our team of qualified chefs will arrive and set up at a pre arranged time, normally around two hours before the serving time so we can set up. We locally source the finest free range pigs from farms across Essex. The meat is carved by one of our chefs and served straight to your plate. The smell and taste of our unique product will keep your guests coming back for more. Because of the cooking time involved with our hog roasts, it would be impractical to cook from start on site so we cook the hog at our premises then transport the hog in the oven to the event where it remains hot until serving and given time to rest. This process is also much less intrusive as we do not need all day access. Due to the use of our marquee, the hog roast and BBQ experience can still go ahead should it rain.
Head chef and owner Chris Greenwood has experience in many fine dining establishments all over the world, even as far as Australia. The idea behind the company was to bring good quality, locally sourced produce to the customer with a unique twist. The company holds firm to its core values of bringing the freshest ingredients to your plate. Such as the free range pigs we use from selected Essex farms and we even go as far as choosing the best quality apples for our famous apple sauce. No expense is spared to provide you with the best quality produce.
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve just received a 5 Food Hygiene Rating from Essex County Council. This is the highest score you can achieve & proves we take our food safety seriously. You’re in safe hands dining with us. Our staff also have food hygiene certificates and we train them to a high standard.
